In this oil pastel land and skyscape, I was attempting to use forms and colors in a way that created a intriguing illusion, where the green shades and horizon line are the primary reference points in determining where the land stops and the sky begins. I find it satisfying to create a mesmerizing pattern of shapes and colors which are intended to engage me, and the viewer, drawing us into, and around the composition.
