About The Artwork
Ever walk along the beach and feel the pull of the horizon? This painting is an abstraction of a deserted beach. I wanted to capture that pull toward the edge of realtiy - solitude, peace and joy. The painting is on canvas which has been attached to a birchwood panel. The panel is 1.5" deep and stained with a satin finish in dark walnut. You can hang this painting directly from the box or if you prefer, you can have it framed to suit your decor. The surface of the painting is a contrast of thin and thick paint. The angles of the geometry are contrast with the natural shapes of the sky, bringing a tension that draws the viewer into the painting. The colors range from red violet to blue violet to yellows and purples for a bold, brilliantly colored artwork.
