About The Artwork
With this painting I was constantly moving between abstraction, expression, and the depiction of the mountains, land, and sky in my home in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. The Blue Ridge Mountains and the Edinburg Gap are continual companions to all who live here. I am very pleased with the resulting blend of abstract with representational qualities of "Edinburg Gap"!
