About The Artwork

• This digitally created PG-13 abstract featured an ecstatic firefighter who in late July, 2020 fought a raging blaze in southern Greece. • The job of the bomberos is one of the world’s most dangerous, and their work requires frequent drinking of cold water or juice. • Paid a top $48,000 a year average salary, an American high school grad trains very hard to put out fires that threaten life, property, and the environment; and rescue people and animals like bisons in dangerous situations. • In my abstract, I painted a smiling firefighter who had to take off his uniform to save and pick up a hungry white gecko with his left hand; and used his right to get a thirsty puppy perched on top of a dwarf papaya tree. • According to the Forestry History Society, the Great Fire of 1910 was the largest fire in U.S. history, ravaging 3 million acres in the Idaho/Montana boundary - killing 87 people, bomberos mostly. • And if you want to know why “El Bombero” is smiling, just look at what the hero is feeding the gecko.
