About The Artwork
The painting is from the Bird Series. A beautiful bird from the Trogon species that visits my cabin in the cloud forest of Gabante, Venezuela. The Salamandra is there with the birds because I was inspired by a character called "come piedras" the one who eats rocks in my friend Laura Antillano's autobiographical novel. I thought it was great, a huge salamander that eats rocks and I covered it with flowers. Is is a joyful painting with very bright and saturated colors that will light up any wall
