ABOUT THE ARTWORK
With the backdrop of a clear blue sky but for a few wispy clouds, the afternoon sun made the reflection on Rattlesnake lake absolutely stunning. This view was etched in my mind after a hike. The persistence of this memory drove me to paint it. Just seeing these shades of emerald greens puts your mind instantly in a peaceful state. The painting is on a cradled birch panel. The painting wraps around all the sides. No frame is needed and it hangs flush with the wall.The areas of detail have slightly raised texture.
