I do not go looking for inspiration or ideas in everyday life. I leave it to the Universe to decide what to send to me. I call my paintings " Deliveries from Universe" Paintings may be " delivered" to me in a rough form. Then it is up to me to turn my imagination what is my workshop and to reveal what is beneath the rough surface.... And the final result is a glimpse of human life unfolding in front of our eyes. Because each person is unique, it is possible that each of them would see same painting differently . Here is an example. Once during Art Exhibition in NYC Agora Gallery where I was participating with my big paintings I noticed very big painting near entrance to gallery. I did look to that painting and I was sure that nobody would be interested to buy that painting because the main figure in that painting was very angry devil madly digging soil and making clouds of dust. I was very surprised because that painting was sold very fast and made me even more surprised that buyer proudly declared that he placed that painting in his bedroom over his bed and he feel very happy when he woke up in the morning the first what he see is that painting. It made him Happy. Because I'm professional artist I know all techniques. I love work with acrylics because of the fluidity it gives and dries fast. I'm driven by curiosity. I was born to a French family in Lithuania. My mother was an artist and encouraged my early interest in art. When I was in High School ,teachers noticed my ability in drawing and painting .At home I made tube from paper, place inside small pieces of different color papers and was slowly rotating that tube and magic was happening. Instead pieces of paper and by using my imagination I vividly saw images of people ,buildings ,flowers . Fantastic world was opening in front of my eyes. When I continue rotate that tube picture was changing for amazing world in front of my eyes. It was my escape from gray Reality. I fall in love in those colorful images. It gave me Joy. At that Time I did not had any idea that by doing it I was developing my artistic imagination .I began studying art in Academy of Art Vilnius, Lithuania Later I continued my study in Academy of Art, Tallinn, Estonia. .Before I came to America I did live in Warsaw, Poland, Berlin and Munich ,Germany. When I arrived to United States I did live in Los Angeles CA for many years.After I relocated to East Coast, Washington, DC area.
