Emotions Painting

Emotions is a piece that I created in inspiration of contemporary expressionists. I have let my emotions take over my mind and spilled its contents onto the painting during the process of creation. Emotions are something that are so enigmatic and unusual, that I could not define it with just one color, but with a plethora of colors. While viewing this piece, I have felt euphoria, darkness, calmness, happiness, and awkwardness to name just a few emotions. I would hope that viewers could put their struggles away while viewing this piece, as well as feel a moment of calming peace, despite it being made in chaos. I would also hope that viewers take away a further made appreciation for abstract art. I have chosen acrylic paint for this piece because it works very well with speed, and I am a very fast painter when I pour my emotions into a painting. Since my emotions can internally change on a dime, I never want to be stuck with one color or one story with my strokes, but rather a multitude of stories that can be told by combining rhythm and color into a mesmerizing still.
