About The Artwork

In Pamplona, a Spanish city, at the beginning of July is celebrated the festival of San Fermín. For a week, every day, some brave bulls are released and they are taken through streets duly prepared for it. The people who attend each “encierro” run in front of and behind the bull, go to the bullring. It is a dangerous activity but still thousands of people gather to see or perform in the show. Ernest Hemingway was a fan of these festivities and the owner of the cafe from where he saw them left a free and decorated table to remember him. That cafe is right behind the image of the painting that I present to you.
