Endorphine no. 6 Painting

This series of paintings represents abstract and artistic depiction of specific biochemical reactions in the human body and especially in the records moment of endorphins and neurotransmitters being released, their activation and their response to stimulus. The individual images represent specific endorphins such as, for example (serotonin, dopamine or epinephrine). An invisible, microscopic world in our brain, which controls a large part of our lives – our emotions, perceptions, feelings and behaviour. Balance, insufficiency or, conversely, the abundance of endorphins and other catecholamine and their poor distribution, absorption, storage and reactivity are the cause of the creation and existence of normal, but also extreme displays in both the positive and negative sense. In the “Endorphins” collection, I created an abstract and experimental crossover between painting and plastic sculpture. Lines and surfaces in some places stand out in an explosion of plastic colour. The image is a three-dimensional representation of the biochemical actions and reactions in the human brain.
