I'm working as a painter, sculptor and graphic - video intermedia artist and carved out my artistic career in between 1986 and 2003 alternating Ljubljana and Paris. In 1983, I graduated in piano Secondary Music School Ljubljana and in 1986 completed my studies of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts with Prof. Janez Bernik. On a scholarship awarded by the French Government, I attended the Paris Academy of Fine Arts, studying drawing with Prof. Vlado Veličković between 1988 and 1990, became a member of the Maison des artistes in 1991, in 1993 obtained the French citizenship, and in 2003 being granted a diploma by the Fédération Nationale de la culture française, European Art Group. The years spent in Paris have indelibly marked my artistic pursuit undertaken both in France and Slovenia. Mostly in painting, ceramics and graphics I utilizes expressive figurative art that involves elements touching on surrealism and symbolism, with a pronounced graphic line of figural or decorative compositions in a characteristic postmodernist blending of methods, techniques and materials (photography, collage, glass, ceramics, polyester...), treating people and interpersonal relationships, mother/child, man/woman, through the prism of poetic eroticism, brutal destruction (Salome), loving tenderness... I had explored this primordial energy through the perspective of Biblical themes, touching upon meditative Eastern ritualism and gradually, by using mostly classical techniques of sculpture and painting as well as conducting research through diverse state-of-the-art media of expression, expanding her work to conceptually devised projects and urban spatial interventions (action installation of the Sarcophagus to Undying Love sculpture at the main entrance to FIAC, Paris 1990; Priestesses polyester sculptures, 1997, Kongres Square Ljubljana). Since 1997 I was engaged in landscape paintings produced in oil with plein-air, thick-coated colour treatment. When launching my exhibitions I use my body and voice as well as improvised musical interpretation of my poems, the poetry that is also the subject of her video research; the installation of twelve plasma screens entitled In Between Dreams and Reality (Brussels 2008, European Economic and Social Committee) established a dialogue between the commercial promotion of Slovenia and personal lyricism of Slovenian landscape motifs, interspersed with idiosyncratic artistic interventions.
