Epic Red - Replica II Painting

I made a shot of this glorious bunch in April 2014 when I've started my systematic botanical painting exercises and decided to make fully personal subject with elaborated reference. Really I've spend a lot of time for cleanup and improve composition/details digtally (even if it remains "falling" anyway). It was fruitful and helpful step, so I've made first work over this reference during just two evening and it was sold just published in an hour. I have a lot of pleasure to make tricky and rich of color subjects so I decide to paint another version, more compact, but impressive anyway. But sometime I miss that first attempt. Viewer (like myself too) may feel some desire to touch these satin-shining petals, warm paper feeling make this experience friendly and wondering. It is more candy, than flower at first look. Even if it has rich red base color - it looks not anxious or even patient-less. It was painted on smooth 300g/msq Lanaquarelle paper, custom set of professional paints. Surface has almost invisible remains of accident stains removing, I can hide it with my signature in future.
