About The Artwork
This piece is a partnership of mediums I find an extension of myself. I work with wood on the ground, barefoot, and where I can, under the sun. Quick drying acrylic allows me to continue my movements and strokes organically without pause, as the colours and shapes form under my hands. I work most comfortably and naturally with the colour blue, I find it channels my thoughts more authentically than any other. This piece especially was influenced heavily by my mental health and a craving for communication of feeling. Every stroke is a word, every shape is a phrase. I don't add hanging hardware to any of my pieces to allow for maximum flexibility for being displayed anywhere.

I am a young visual artist based in Leeds city centre. Heavily influenced by Abstract Expressionists like Rothko and Action Painters like Kline, my work explores organic movement and bold colour. I work mainly with acrylic paint and plywood, always on the ground and always barefoot. I experiment with oil on transparent acrylic when painting portraits, and also incorporating poetry, both original and a variety of other poets.
