About The Artwork

As in most of her artworks, the artist tries to capture in time a memory, re-collect it and visualize it in an undetermined space. So she stops time and retain into the canvas a fragment of a childhood, an exchange of glances. It could be the infancy of everybody, an unconscious pure curiosity still living inside each one of us. This memory has to be hold urgently because it is constantly fading away and it becomes harder and harder to keep it. The little girl and the cat are defined by fast pencil and charcoal strokes; they're dissolving themselves into a delicate light blue, which is threaten by the black touches along the edges of the painting. The artist left aside any anthropocentrism in order to represent a confidential contact between living creatures, inhabitants of the same environment; glances are the main characters and they give energy to the art piece in its entirety.
