About The Artwork

Goldsmith's Inlet is located on Eastern Long Island in the village of Peconic, Town of Southold. I often paint this area as it was the Beach I grew up on and is one of the last areas that are still natural and untouched. The sky's during the summer of 2023 were unusual due to the Canadian Forest fires that polluted the air in the Tri state area and most of New England. The Smoke in the air created some of the most beautiful colors in the evening sky and I was inspired to capture this phenomenon at the place I hold most dear. All materials I paint on and use for framing are recycled, reclaimed board, wood or composite.

Inspired by the rural and hauntingly natural beauty of eastern Long Island, Vincent seeks to depict the play of light on the land and sea. Creating atmospheric serenity with keen observations of weather patterns, He strives to capture the spirituality and essences of these vanishing landscapes. Vincent C Brandi (c.1976) was born in Southampton NY. A native of Eastern Long Islands North Fork: Vincent obtained degrees in Fine Art, Restoration of art and antiquities as well as American and European art history at the Fashion Institute of technology, Pratt institute and other great institutions of learning…. Displayed for the first time in January 2011 in Palm Beach, Florida, the Les pommiers Series was received with much publicity and admiration. This series as the others that followed went to collectors and private collections here in the United States and around the world. Vincent’s work has been represented in Galleries, group/solo shows, competitions and unconventional retail environments in the United States. Vincent divides his time between Washington DC and his beloved Eastern Long Island. Currently, He is working on new series and will be exploring many areas on the East Coast of the United States.
