About The Artwork
As I'd been painting with a very blue palette for paintings on wood, I wanted to explore something new. I was feeling the sun and this evokes the glow and warmth of a hot Summer day and the joy of a moment caught relaxing in the sunshine. I layered the colours and added symbolic details - these are about my family, my memories and history, celebrating closeness, connection and nature.
