Every day is a new beginning Painting

Igor Kotnik, born in Ljubljana. I live and work in my studio in Brezovica near Ljubljana. As an artist, I am constantly inspired by the world around me and the endless possibilities of creating something beautiful in all possible color combinations. I have been creating art for as long as I can remember, and my passion for painting, sculpting, woodworking and other media has grown and developed. I graduated from a school of design and painting in 1979 and continued to explore all possibilities of art design and artistic creation. I paint with acrylic, oil on canvas and dry pastels on paper. A little bit of everything, but mostly in abstraction. My early collection Roosters was exhibited at a group exhibition of young artists in the Modern Gallery in 1969 (painting of a rooster with ink). I had my first solo exhibition in mixed media in 1984 at the M-turist gallery in Ljubljana. Later, I occasionally exhibited my works in smaller companies. I am also a member of the Salvador Club at AAMI Corporation. My works are in private collections in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Italy, Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands. ​
