This artwork is inspired by the Evil Eye- a “Luck Charm” believed to deflect evil eyes; and thereby protects a person or an object against misfortune. Wearing an amulet or displaying one in an area in the home can be a way to protect yourself. I believe in the inherent goodness of people, but I also acknowledge the anxiety around the unknown. I liked the idea of integrating a little bit of magic in this artwork. This is made with acrylic on canvas.
