These "Wisps and Things" attempt to convey a deeper emotional flow, as stated below. In recent months, I have found it harder to work without cause or reason or emotion, as life is consuming much of it. It's gotten harder to work and listen to music, as it feels that listening to others work prevents me from finishing my own. Relying on someone else's hard earned emotions seem, somehow, to replace my own. To get lost in theirs and to forget mine. Perhaps it's the serotonin music so easily produces, serotonin that can be much harder to coax out with visual arts. My own work does excite me, but the dosage needs to be increased constantly to keep up with the external stimulus. Much of this line was done listening to Nate DiMeo's "The Memory Palace" podcast. His work is incredibly emotional; the stories stunning. Given my previous sentiments, this seems as a natural progression; finding an emotional crux created by someone else and relying on it to work.
