Eye of the Thread is an extension of a series playing with contrasting materials, burlap, thread, influenced by the Japanese Boro as well as the African mud cloths and colours. Earth , water and sky are elements that come forth in this series and in this particular work, earth is the foremost element as a thread that holds the work together goes beyond its frame.
