Kim began her artistic journey painting murals and creating decorative finishes for her client’s homes. The need to create an object with her hands has always followed her throughout her life. Kim finds her inspiration in the textures that nature offers; a worn old piece of wood, the spine of a leaf or the way the sun hits the landscape. Always experimenting with different textures in her work and working with different mediums to find her voice. Kim is, and always will be moved to create ethereal atmospheric works that evoke a sense of mystic wonder that you are drawn into. Self taught and moved by many places she has visited in the Northeast, Canada, Scotland and Ireland, she brings to life, through her lens, an abstract perception of real landscapes. Guided by her mantra that “each piece is purposeful in the sense that the art is worthy of your home and captivates by the experience”.
