About The Artwork

Receiving multiple ads about abandoned, abused, and rescued animals inspired me to paint this image with oil on white heavyweight cold press paper. I vow to donate half of my profits to animal rescue organisations. If you purchase this painting you can know you are a part of a good deed. Thank you in advance.

Originally from Soviet Russia and Ukraine, I am now living in the Ocean State of Rhode Island. My first oil painting was in 2000 when I transitioned from water colours after meeting a great artistic mentor, Homer Johns. Then followed acrylics a few years later. At the same time I was experimenting with clay. Later on, I found other media to express my artistry, like sea shells, corals, seedpods, resin, wood, etc. As I have recently learnt, art is an expression of an emotion or an idea and tools you use to manifest that emotion don't matter. Whereas crafts - is using the right tools, materials, and skills to create specific objects or products. By that definition I'm most certainly an artist. My creations may not be perfected, but they all come from a notion, a concept borne within, whether based on something I found and picked up on my hike or a walk on the beach, or something I experienced that evoked an urge to create in me. I draw inspirations from nature, my dreams, travelling, and happy accidents. Hope my art will find its fans on this site. "What future holds for me ahead? What heights I am to climb tomorrow? Will I be blessed to see sun set? Or will the day present a sorrow? The path in front is outlined, Yet its details are hidden proper. The answer will appear in time To new experience I'm open."
