False Memories Painting

The painting was inspired by false memories from childhood, incorporated with symbols of those memories, and arranged to create several figures of faces with different forces. I want the viewers to reminisce about their false memories after understanding what they are through the painting. The use of colours and figures provides a certain dolefulness and terror that bring a sensation of reconciliation with things we thought happened but didn't. I chose acrylic as my medium as it is my principal medium as an artist, and then I used markers for minute details. I chose the subject of false memories as there was a point in my life where I had to re-evaluate the truth once again to get a good grasp of the current reality I perceive it to be. The style was abstract and contemporary as I am developing the art style further.
