About The Artwork
Fashion Le Gogh Series takes you from A to Z with fashion/style icons starting from Anna Wintour to Rachel Zoe. These were inspired by my fashion background and my young kids who loves playing with legos. The bright playful canvases are color blocked and comes in fuchsia, orange, lime green or teal background. Every character was sketched and drawn digitally creating a homage to style icons that have influenced the fashion world. The characters are lined up to the painted canvas and sealed with a high gloss resin.

Mary Lai is a multifaceted Korean-American artist based in Los Angeles, California. Her outlook is that “Art is a universal language that can speak to anyone” and her dreamer mindset is reflected in her vibrant contemporary artwork that aims to uplift and evoke emotion. Her scope of work includes paintings, mixed media art, digital art to large-scale murals and sculptures. She has a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and prior to her visual art journey, the seasoned designer built a career in New York for over a decade as a fashion accessories designer, including an award-winning namesake handbag collection. With over 20 years of art and design experience, Lai has worked with several notable brands including W Hotel, HBO Max, Vayner x St. Jude, American Express, SXSW, NBA Lakers/InThePaint, Snapchat and more. She has exhibited at leading art fairs & galleries worldwide and continues to explore what it means to create and curate art with impact.
