About The Artwork

My practice involves addressing historical periods of importance that are represented by psychologically and socially charged images and objects. These two vessels represented here were created in ancient times and represent mans ingenious ability to design objects and tools necessary for survival. These two vessels acted as containers for food and water. Yet at the same time their shape retains that of modern technological advancements in warfare, as their form is similar to that of bombs. The title is an allusion to the peak of destructive force created during WWII and works to create a duel representation of both creative survival and destructive survival.
