Femininity Painting

„Femininity“ was painted during the period when I found out that I was seriously ill, for which I had to undergo an operation with an uncertain outcome. The preparation lasted for three months, which I experienced as going through Purgatory. I found solace in painting, and an opportunity to sublimate thoughts about important concepts in my life. One of them is "Femininity". I became trully aware of the complex nature of my body, and impressed by its incredibly fine structure, which is so well adapted to the slight change of surges of estrogen and progesterone, which also affect the waves of my emotions, and even in my soul. Admired by the cosmos that exists in me, I finally accepted the illnes itself, which eroded that fine structure, as something that helped me become aware of that beauty. It's wonderful to be a woman and almost unbearable at the same time.
