Lino Dinetto was born in 1927 in Veneto, Italy. At first impressed by Impressionism and the plein-air painting, he later devoted himself to the art of the Renaissance and, after his classical art education, he painted a lot of religious motives. His encounter with the Futurists led to a rethinking, therefore he continued to work intensively with the expressionist movements such as Cubism and later lnformalism. His work became increasingly abstract. However, a recurring subject remains the woman. He is the first student of art in his native country. Although very young, he left his secondary studies and went to Venice to devote himself to artistic studies. The mother, although a strong and responsible character, will not veto her child's choices. Ours receives a basic lesson from the Venetian color scheme, similar to the foundation of a building, precisely because it finds in it the answer to its spirituality. At the age of 15 he moved to Milan, where he appreciated the teachings he received from Sironi and Cara. Together with these masters, he deepens the problems of futurism and metaphysics. At the same time, it improves expressive tools, especially those of large-scale painting. He initially made his debut as a muralist with the construction of some frescoes in Liguria, Veneto and Tuscany. He received his first important commission. In 1946, he was entrusted with the "Last Supper" for the refectory of the Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore (SI), whose walls are covered with artistic treasures such as the frescoes of L. Signorelli and Sodom. Our work has for him, very young, a huge size: about 40 square meters of canvas, which had to replace the fresco, in Ghirlandaio's cartoons, destroyed during the last war. In 1948, he was present at the 1st Temple Exhibition in Padua.
