as a self-taught artist, kelp delights in portraying messages of self-love and healing, hidden amongst bright colors and high gloss. inspired by the human condition, kelp uses color and creative chaos to encourage the viewer to turn inward and examine their limiting beliefs, inner wounds, and inspired them to break free, heal, and thrive. using spray paint and resin and her primary mediums, the result is a highly seductive, incredibly luxe, deeply contemplative work that evolves the more you look at it. with up to 15 layers in each piece, the depth and dimension of the work mimics that of the many facets of our lives. beautiful, dark, moody, bright, electric, messy, and vibrant - all represented throughout her work.
