Mary Wells, B.1943 D. 1992. Female singer, who's best known hit was 'My Guy'recorded on the Motown label. Wells sang 'so sweetly and was a special talent', producing classic early Motown, 'Bye,bye Baby', 'Two Lovers', 'You beat Me to the Punch and 'Operator also excellent material for 20th century Fox, Arco and Jubille. This Painting was produced to promote black artists who's contribution to modern popular music has been forgotten.

Still working in Oil. A love of classic black music still inspires my paintings. Throughout the last year, 2014/ 2015 I have been sculpting in a polymer clay using armatures . The clay has a waxy feel and is excellent for fine detail, the clay can be baked at a low temperature unlike water based clay.
