About The Artwork
The title for this work comes from a short instrumental piece on the album " Doc At the Radar Station " by Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band. I have been listening to Beefheart's music since 1968 this tune was recorded twice and according to guitarist Gary Lucas, Beefheart told him to play it "according to my exploding note theory" so this my interpretation of Don Van Vliet's ( Beefheart) exploding note theory. The artwork is signed and dated on the back, not framed also the work could be hung in any orientation a buyer wished hence the back signing.

This profle picture shows me at work in my studio, the work in progress is " Ink Mathmatics". As you can see my work is very varied in subject and style. The things that inspire me are words mostly from songs or poetry, a word a phrase. The pictures I hope speak for themselves, but I hope they have a narrative somehow and tell a story.I have been painting since childhood. For the past year I have worked exclusively in mixed media and my style and execution has evolved into a much more bold and individual realisation of my own artistic philosophy.
