About The Artwork
Inspired by hallucinations in the Nevada Black Rock Desert as I awakened in the early morning, seeking the meaning of life and confronted with a pile of elk shit very close to my sleeping bag. The sulphur smell of the steaming hot springs filling my nostrils and thousands of red tics covering a patch of reeds where the elk had been resting. Got out my acrylics and recorded the moment.
