About The Artwork

The painting depicts a graceful lily against a Florentine landscape. The lily is a symbol of Florence, so the combination of this flower with the landscape of this city is not accidental. The still life was painted after the author visited this wonderful city. The work is executed with oil paints on canvas. The painting is textured with the use of a palette knife during the work. The color scheme corresponds to the characteristic colors of the architecture in Florence. Main colors in the work: ocher, gray, red-brown, white

Hello! My name is Olga. I was born in the Ukrainian city of Kherson in 1984. Now I live and work in Krakow (Poland). I have been painting professionally for over 17 years. Since 2008 I have been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.2023 member of the Union of Artists of Poland (Krakow). I have a PhD in Art History (2019). As an artist, I am usually inspired by a woman as the personification of beauty, tenderness, love, motherhood and, in fact, life itself. When creating an image, I often refer to folk customs, Christian symbolism and elements of folklore. I am also inspired by the cityscape and ancient architecture. In my opinion, it is a silent witness to the history of mankind. My works can be found in the Kherson Regional Art Museum named after O. Shovkunenko, the Museum of Ethnography and Art Crafts Institute of Ethnology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Lviv), Kherson Academic Music and Drama Theater named after M. Kulish, Stalowa Gallery (Warsaw, Poland), Royal Castle in Lechytsia (Poland), private collections in Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, Israel
