Flower woolpainting nr.1 Painting

This is a non woven woolen tapestry, sometimes called also "woolen painting". The process begins with putting the layers of brushed colored sheep's fleece one on each other on a soft textile support. From very thin to some centimetres thick, the layers can form from the transparent color effect to thick tuft of strong color tone. After, the prepared tapestry must be pressed, ironed and sewed with many temporal threads to fix it in order to not to move anymore the parts of the created image when sewed after in a special sewing machine Arachne which contains many rasped needles. These needles sew without threads, just their pressure interconnects the fleece's soft layers one with each other with the textile support. After, when the tapestry is finished, the temporal threads are ripped out and the process is finished. The tapestry can be straighten on a wooden frame. This specific natural material creates the feeling of coziness and softness, you see its soft volume and you'd like to touch it.
