About The Artwork

Capture the beauty and tranquility of fly fishing in the river with this stunning watercolor painting. Set in the picturesque Yosemite National Park, the scene features a cascading waterfall and rugged boulders. Tony the fisherman casts his rod with expert precision, searching for that elusive trout in the crystal-clear waters. This piece is sure to transport you to a serene world of nature and adventure. I took this photo of Tony at the Dana Fork of the Tuolumne River in Yosemite. I wish I would have gotten more information from him so I could send him a copy of this painting. Painting Size: 9x12 unframed One of a kind artwork Watercolor on 100 percent cotton paper. I use Arches because I love the way it's texture allows me to use many different techniques. I spray all my watercolor paintings with an acrylic sealant so no need for glass when you frame this painting. I will ship this artwork in a box securely protected. I have it backed with foam core for stiffness so it will be ready for you to frame and hang in your home or office

I am Paula Bridges, born and raised in Texas. My favorite thing to do is to combine my art with travel. Having worked in the airline industry since 1986, I have been able to combine these two passions. Although I do plein air painting, my main practice is to take photos and bring them back to my studio where I bury myself in watercolor. My love for watercolor has grown out of the challenge it presents. Water and pigment flow in a semi uncontrolled way and I enjoy creating a painting from this process using bold bright colors with different levels of value. I do like to paint animals; however, landscapes are my love with a never ending supply of subjects from all over the world. After I complete a painting, I always send it to my 86 year old mother to critique. She was my first inspiration to paint being an artist herself.
