Painting, Spray Paint on Canvas

This painting captures the feeling of lower downtown in New York City right after 9-11, in a distorted arial view above Brooklyn. In the gaping hole left where the Twin Towers stood, you can see a faint 'ghost image' of them in a transparent white, in contrast with the rest of the grey Manhattan skyline. The dramatic gesture of the Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg bridges shows the sympathetically striving reach and connection that was felt from the surrounding areas and the rest of the world.
