About The Artwork
The title of "Forest Bathing" comes from a Japanese form of therapy known for its healing benefits. Patients are given slow, meditative walks in the forest to restore their peace of mind. I think plein air painting in the forest has similar benefits! This painting was made on-site in one of my favorite cedar forests near my home in the Pacific Northwest. The mysterious mood and the glowing quality make this one of my favorite paintings. This painting is painted on an archival panel that comes ready to hang on the wall.
