About The Artwork
During morning walks in the garden, the dew gives off its earthy scents. Here, I painted a work inspired by freshness which, for me, has a bluish color. The freedom of the gesture here has been paramount and the treatment in watercolor form with overlays of collages of Japanese papers adds interesting textures and patterns. Unlike my series of flowerpots where the flowers are highlighted, here they are rather suggested in the work. Because what I want is to create a work that is much more abstract than figurative. This work is varnished with a quality varnish and painted on the sides in black. The painting is ready to hang
