Freedom at Last Painting

During a coastal walk in Padstow between lockdowns last year, peering into rock pools, I was reminded of seaside days of my childhood. Entranced by the light, the reflections, and the ebb and flow of the sea, I felt at one with nature. I was inspired to paint just how this made me feel. I tried to capture this fleeting moment and hope it’s viewers will feel the happiness and freedom which inspired this painting. I feel the use of neon paint and white acrylic pen helped to bring about the movement and contrast required. This is quite a textured piece. I used 3D gel to create body.
