About The Artwork
An inspiration came when there was a very ugly attack on a young beautiful woman by 4 thugs. I want to show the beauty of a woman who is most deprived and taken for granted. She hold the beautiful Lotus flower, which stands tall out of its surrounding. Behind the caged bars is a Peace Pigeon. Smooth curves shows the beauty of a woman and the love she hold in her heart. She means no harm yet she is not free to be her self.

I was born just a year before my country got its independence - in 1946 in India. As I grew, so did my country. I have seen it rise from a dusty, sleepy country to a major player in the world market. I also spent more than a decade as a radio officer in the merchant navy and had the opportunity to travel the world.
All this has shaped my view of the world and I feel I am better for it. My paintings incorporate the diversity I have experienced during my life.
Adventurer, teacher, landscapist...or all of these?
As an artist I have no formal training and am entirely self taught. I do not adopt a single style of art. My work reflects touches of abstract, nature studies, charcoal sketches, still life, pointillism, impressionism and some spiritual overtones.
My prime motivation is to share and evoke creativity in everyone, especially children.
