About The Artwork
I'm inspired by everyday life. I was having a stimulating conversation with a friend about mythology, during the process of painting for a show. This is one of three pieces of work in a series. The other two are called 'BENT' and 'My Name Is...' My hope is that the strong feelings that this, and other paintings in the series evoke in me, will awaken something in you that makes you feel, question, think and become joyful. I find that experimenting with new materials is a sign of growth and evolution. This piece, along with the other two have dried paint, encaustic wax, gel mediums, varnish and charcoal.

I am an abstract expressionist artist. I paint from raw emotion and release every ounce of my spirit into my creative endeavors. I studied Theater Arts and Design in New York. Painting is a medium that came to me later in my life. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to express myself through abstraction. It's a delicious treat... sometimes decadent. I love the challenges that are presented as I contemplate new ideas, implement my thoughts and watch them become a reality. in addition, I love listening to guests who visit my studio and purchase my art. Thanks to my clients and collectors - both national and international I was able to fundraise for the Charlotte Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County (Florida). It was wonderful to be able to dance and paint for such a great cause and to celebrate the arts community through scholarships for students.
