This artwork is inpired by her grandfather's poem called "Fria Claridade" and is part of her exhibition called Havemos de Ir a Viana in 2019. Its about the beauty of dawn in the cold and unique Alto Minho, her favourite place in the world where She used to spend the summer holidays at her grandparents summer house.

Mariana Telles da Silva Homem de Mello was born in Porto on November 3, 1974, having always lived in Lisbon. In 1992 attended the course Drawing from the National Society of Fine Arts of Lisbon but only started painting in 2008 with the painter Isabel Contreras Botelho. Her work is primarily figurative and expressionist, has an own way, gestual and intuitive. Reflected memories and moods, images of things seen before, places and moments perhaps imagined. Uses various types of materials such as oil, pastel, acrylic, charcoal and china ink.
