I've got inspired in an old photograph from our holidays in the resort of Pila, right on top of the town of Aosta, in the Aosta Valley. I have used soft pastels to do the work, on a Pastelboard. I love to see this painting, as it remind me of my happy place in the world, which is the mountains, and time with my family and friends.

I am a new artist, pretty much self-taught, with some formal learning at the Blackheath Conservatoire with Simone Willems, now taking another course at the Conservatoire to use as studio time. I've fallen in love with pastels and charcoal, as I find them easy materials to express in paintings. I love the mountains, and want to reflect them in my drawings.
