ABOUT THE ARTWORK
With this painting I wanted to express a strong feeling of movement using a mixture of media so that the viewer is caught up in the action. By choosing the large format I think it gives more impact and dynamism. It is on unstretched canvas and would ship in a tube. I would recommend that it's framed behind glass/perspex since there isn't enough space around the image to put it onto a wooden stretcher.

Taking a lot of inspiration from old masters, particularly from the Rococo/Baroque era, I'm especially drawn to the composition, colors & fabrics and like to put my contemporary twist on it. Painting in a very expressive way, abstract elements are explored in these figurative subjects and the spaces in between. Using a variety of media such as acrylic, charcoal, plaster & pastel I'm constantly experimenting with textures & layers to convey flow & movement. Throughout my artistic career I've exhibited widely across the United States, UK & Europe in both group and solo shows, as well as having work regularly published.
