This Art is made on handmade paper with nib pen and Arylic paint. ***A Diwali Special*** Ganesha and Lakshmi are worshipped together for Diwali to restore the balance between these two forces that brings the balance of love and prosperity in a home. Ganesha, the son of Lakshmi is supposed to be the grounding force to bring stability in the traveling wealth possessed by Lakshmi. Lakshmi (goddess of wealth) is considered to be a traveling lady that can travel from one person to another. A story from Hindu mythology says that Lakshmi adopted Ganesha from his mother Parvati. Out of her love for Ganesha, Lakshmi declared that all her luxury, prosperity and accomplishments is Ganesh's as well. Madhubani Art (or Mithila painting) is a style of Indian painting, practiced in the Mithila region of the Indian subcontinent. Madhubani paintings are traditionally done with a variety of tools, including fingers, twigs, brushes, nib-pens, and matchsticks and using natural dyes and pigments. It is characterised by its eye-catching geometrical patterns. Madhubani paintings mostly depict people and their association with nature and scenes and deities from the ancient epics. My journey with Madhubani Art ... Madhubani Art (or Mithila painting) is a style of Indian painting, practiced in the Mithila region of the Indian subcontinent. The painting was originally done with a variety of tools, including fingers, twigs, brushes, nib-pens, and matchsticks and using natural dyes and the colors used are derived from pigments.
