About The Artwork
I paint flowers from my garden. For a whole year I have been looking forward to seeing primroses, tulips and daffodils blooming - my favorite spring flowers. The life of flowers is very short and painting helps to prolong their life. I take the brushes in my hands and enjoy and admire their beauty, the tints of color and the musical tenderness of the petals. I am very happy if I manage to convey at least a small part of this spring charm. This bouquet is painted impressionistic rather than natural. The paints are laid out in rather transparent strokes, ala prima. I will be glad if the viewer experiences the same feelings that arise from communicating with beautiful spring flowers.

Vladimir Bogdanov was born in 1955. In 1985 he graduated from the Moscow Print Academy, faculty of graphics. From 1980 to 1991 he worked as a teacher in the Children Studio of Art. Since 1978 he joined more than 35 exhibitions in Russia and abroad. VIadimir Bogdanov's paintings are in private collections and galleries in Russia, USA, France, Italy, Greece, England, Portugal and Czech Republic. Now he lives and works in Prague.
