Art Description

Painting: Oil on Canvas.

Garuda - the sacral bird of lord Vishnu - is flying over the frozen ocean of subconscious. The same ocean, where the Lord Shiva drink and purified all poisons out of the waters. As Garuda flies, the thin ice of the consciousness is breaking, freeing the spirit out.

From psychology point of view:
- the consciousness is ruling over the vast kingdom of subconsciousness. And moves all "ugly" and "hurting" memories and experiences under the mental control - the Ice. The human wants to live in the light of self glory, self goodness. Thus Garuda is also a symbol of human Ego.
- sadly, but the human Ego time to time acts in a way, which breaks the mental control, and the poisons - inner demons - leaps out and break havoc. Thus I have illustrated this as a underwater vulcano, erupting magma out of the abyss. In these freaky moments the human memory can be even "cut out" by the dear good inner child.
- if the human could find the way to vent out frequently, in a safe mode, these poisons - help to evaporate them, we could literally drink those traumatic poisons out of our life. This is how alchemical purification and distillation works.

And what doesn't kill you - makes you stronger!
