About The Artwork
Oil painting on wood panel, finished painted sides. Framing optional, includes D-ring and wire, ready to hang. The ghost forest is both a real and imagined landscape. In nature they can be found as coastal forests that are dying due to sea level rise, I also think of the large areas cleared for lumber and development. The imagined landscape is a setting for story telling, it is a state of mind, and a representation to remember the sacred ecological places we are tragically losing every day.
