Giselle Ballet Silhouette Acrylic Painting Painting

A painting from the ballet Giselle, white on black canvas board. The ballerina is in silhouette but rather than black on white I thought it would look good white on black which also captures the ethereal nature of the ballet. There is a light spattering of paint to give the painting more atmosphere. The painting captures the semi-transparency of the veil covering the ghostly spirit. The artwork would ideally be framed as this will help keep the board flat. I recently saw the ballet Giselle in London, not having seen it since I was a child. It reminded me of aesthetic ballet is as an art form and I try to capture that in 2-dimensional form on a painting.
