About The Artwork

The work is painted on a heavy cotton canvas tarp it hangs from rings attached to the custom top frame moulding and is weighted my the bottom moulding allowing it to hang nicely....like a tapestry. The phrase ‘I’m kind of a big deal’ is subtly painted on the Union Jack. The work rolls up for easy packing and shipping.

Ron Eady was born in Toronto and is now based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. His paintings are primarily with encaustic, oil or acrylics. Eady's sculpture works are carved wood, many from 100 year old beams and then painted with layers of encaustic the surfaces evolve through a process of painting, burning and scraping. Works have been featured in numerous publications, he has exhibited internationally and his paintings can be found in such collection as the Government of Ontario, Toronto; the Varley Gallery, Markham; and City of Sagamihara Art Collection, Sagamihara Japan as well as private collections in the USA, Canada, Japan and China. Ron Eady currently works out of his studios in Hamilton and in the village of Rosseau, Muskoka.
