The painting describes the frustration of spring through the expression of the character dated 1932: The use of subjects that were tendentially conceived in black and white already returns the melancholy that follows with the realization of time and frustration when spring comes. She eats us and smiles at us dictating the rules of a game we no longer played for the long period of quiet that preceded her. Now you get undressed you get sweaty and you’re victims of the scorching sun and the beauty that surrounds everything except you who are sleepwalking from winter.
